Last night I was merrily tweeting away, minding my own business of course, when a twitter storm hit the likes of which I hadn’t seen before. OK that is a bit of an exaggeration, but this meme came out of nowhere and consumed my Tweetdeck columns while climbing to a reported 1.44% of twitter traffic.
The hashtag #LessAmbitiousMovies abruptly appears on the charts around 8pm EST Tuesday December 4th. The meme takes off en-route to over 17,650 tweets by around 11pm then quickly ebbs into almost complete obscurity. Alright, actually it is still going, but at a slower pace. A pleasant diversion to remind us that twitter doesn’t have to be filled with one hundred percent marketing this and marketing that.
